I Was Lucky but..

WHAT A MESS !   Ike made a big mess outside but my houses are all ok. I'll put my skirting back on this week-end if I'm off. I've been working everyday since we got back, so the yard is still a mess. There's still some people out so I'm getting extra hours which always helps. 

We didn't go to my son's this time. We went there for Gustove but didn't get that head start for Ike, so we went to Louisiana and stayed with my aunt and uncle.

I was worried if we went far enough but we did thank goodness. Got some bad weather and that was it. That was one hell of a storm and like I said, I was lucky. Rita did more damage to my place than Ike did.

My son said he's going to try to take a couple of days off to come help me clean up. Someone picked up in the front and made a pile on the side of the road to be picked up. That was a nice thing to do, I just wish I knew who to thank. Mama couldn't figure out who it was and I was at work.

Time to get to work. Off tomorrow, Yay
