I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not, but I put my mother in the nursing home. Shes doing good so far. She likes the activities and her room mate. She would rather be home but she knows its not a good idea to be left alone too long.Shes on a patch that helps with her memory. I've been picking her up every week-end to spend a night or two. I go see her every day after work, too.

I may check into home health if she keeps doing good. She would be alone for a little while but not all day like before. It will be a lot of red tape just like the home.

 We went to visit a friend with cancer this evening for a few minutes to tell him by. I don't really know if he knew I was there or not but I think he did. His wife and I have been friends since jr. high so I've known him too almost that long. Over 36 yrs. I doubt if he makes it through the night. That was sad to put it mildly.

Everything else around here is about the same. Finally started getting some rain. Most of my grass turned brown. The good thing is I only had to mow about half of it since the rest  is dead. My water bill is high enough without sprinklers so I left it alone.

Hi Tere love, good to see ya posting again...glad mum is settled a bit more now in the nursing home, i know it's not how you'd like it to be but it's a matter of doing what ya can with what's available to you and being home is not something that would be very safe for mum right now. That home care sounds a possibility as long as there's gonna be someone there when you can't be.
Oh, if it's rain ya needing ya welcome to some of ours...lol...awful weather here, ya'd think it was the middle of winter not the middle of summer...calling it the rainy season now not summer...lol
